The GFFE is excited to award teachers Tess Merling, Robin Kalfaian and Katie DeStefano the
Fine Motor Skills and Handwriting Development Grant.
The Kindergarten teachers at AW Cox Elementary School took note of their students’ needs for improvement in fine motor skills. With this grant, teachers will be able to design centers with colorful and fun multisensory supplies and games. Such creative and engaging centers will allow for students to have more time and practice strengthening their fine motor skills so that they are able to fully participate in the Kindergarten curriculum.
The GFFE is grateful for the teachers’ dedication to research. Thank you to the Kindergarten
team at AW Cox Elementary School!
