Mini Grant Application
GFFE Minigrant Application Instructions
Thank you for your interest in a GFFE Minigrant. Minigrants are grants under $1,000 and are open to all nonprofit organizations in Guilford that benefit Guilford youth. The Minigrant Application is shorter than the standard Grant Application and has an expedited review process. (Applicants seeking $1,000 or more should use the standard Grant Application, and student applicants seeking grants of any size should use the Student Grant Application. Both forms can be found on the GFFE website.)
The GFFE provides grants for initiatives that enhance Guilford’s educational environment and experiences. Our vision is to bring innovation and excellence to Guilford youth. Because of our focus on innovation, there are many valuable projects that we are unable to fund, such as requests for updated materials and required professional development.
A second important factor is the impact of your project, which is measured in both numbers of people affected and the degree of potential change.
The following examples of successful applications may be helpful in answering the questions about innovation and impact:
Before beginning the application, please send a very brief (1-2 sentence) description of your idea to us at minigrants@gffe.org. A GFFE volunteer will respond to let you know if your idea falls within our mission and is eligible for funding. (Please note that approval is a separate step; eligibility does not guarantee funding.)
Please send the completed application to minigrants@gffe.org. Applications will be reviewed as they are submitted. You will receive a response within two weeks of submission. Please note that this application requires the approval and signature of a building administrator or supervisor.
If you have any questions that are not answered here, please email us at minigrants@gffe.org. We are always happy to help! Thank you for applying for a GFFE Minigrant.
