"Is it a Good Fit?" Quiz

Give yourself up to ten points for each item........

  • The project promotes high academic and/or personal achievement in students or youth.
  • The project is consistent with your agency's focus and mission and is endorsed and supported by the agency's leadership.
  • The project reflects current research on best practices in teaching and learning.
  • The project addresses a substantiated need in Guilford's educational community.
  • The project activities take place over a period of time long enough for significant and lasting learning to occur.
  • The evaluation plan will clearly show the results of the project on student academic and/or personal growth.
  • The project will impact the academic learning of Guilford students over an extended period of time.
  • The project is innovative and/or creative, and results in a learning experience new to Guilford's students.
  • The project is different from other projects that have been or are usually funded through the agency or its support groups (PTO, Booster Groups, etc.).

Bonus:

  • Meaningful, on-going collaboration is an integral par of the project.
  • The project can be replicated and/or extended beyond the initial participants.

If the project's score is 85 or more it is consistent with GFFE's funding criteria, and we encourage you to submit it to GFFE for funding consideration.

If your project scored fewer than 85 points, you may want to re-think, re-organize, and revise it so that it more fully meets GFFE's criteria or seek out other funding sources that offer a better fit for the project.
