Ghost Walk- October 26, 2007Unhindered by a threat of rain, two hundred people arrived at St. George's church social hall on Friday, October 26, 2007 to experience the GFFE Ghost Walk. Participants were treated to a fascinating Power Point presentation created by event chairperson, Lorrie Shaw. Lorrie and her committee had spent many months prior to the event talking to homeowners, researching in the Guilford Library and learning Guilford history from town historian, Joel Helander. The result was a fascinating evening learning about ghosts, spirits and the history of some "goings-on" in Guilford. GHS Theater arts students posed as "spirits" as groups were lead to various locations along a map that brought them on a southern or northern route of the Green. The drizzly evening and old-fashioned lanterns carried by the group guides and the 'spirit" actors, only added to the effect, creating a perfect night for a Ghost Walk on the Green. |
